Major, privately owned, international retailer requires a senior and experienced professional to assume the position of Director of PR. With an edict to develop and deliver the strategic PR plan for the trans Tasman region so as to propel a business already reporting staggering rates of growth to complete category domination, the successful candidate must be a true leader and have 10+ years of consumer (retail a bonus) PR experience preferably with some of this time spent in agency. You must be a passionate self starter with the ability to multi task, have a proven track record of devising strong, strategic and cohesive PR plans in a similar environment, and be experienced in managing budgets upwards of $500,000. Reporting to the Marketing Director you will be required to brief and manage external agencies, communicate effectively with a suite of internal and external stakeholders and supervise the workload of a PR Manager. A detailed knowledge of the Australian media landscape and a broad understanding of the NZ equivalent is also a pre-requisite.
